No visit to Sarasota is complete without a visit to Michelangelo's! The food is great, the staff has always been very friendly and welcoming. Pizza or any of the pasta dishes we have tried have all been great. The pizza reminds me of my many years in New York City.
The food was incredible . The server was amazing. Unfortunately, the take-outs trumped the diners. My meal came out first (salad and meatballs). It took about another hour before my husband's food came out (Slice of pizza and a calzone). Although apologetic, it left us each eating alone while the other waited. They should have made some provision for the obvious inconvenience, but did not. Don't let this stop you from enjoying the fabulous menu items. I have since ordered pickup twice and always have been 100% satiated.
We order the Nona Pie and gorganzola salad a few days ago and it was so good! We are pizza snobs from Connecticut and we were honestly impressed with this pie. Definitely the best pizza I have had in Florida. Good job!
