China Star - Sarasota

Food is good above the usual price of Chinese food in Sarasota, never too much salt or fat and excellent flavor balance and portion size is generous. I also recommend the lunches and sushi rolls. Very good.

The food was delicious and the people who ran the place were very friendly. The food was made fast and everything was as we ordered. This is a great thing if you have two very picky children for dinner.

Not good food, bought the family meal, so was able to try a lot. In addition, they have not placed any utensils in the To-go bags, so when we go to the beach, had to leave to get forks and napkins. It won't be back.

This was literally the worst experience I ever had for Chinese takeout. I misunderstood our order, and the food that WAS sent was very clearly superfluous from lunch that sat all day in a heat window. Crab Rangoon was soggy and stale like the egg rolls. Couldn't even bite her. 100% garbage.

Ordered General Tso chicken, orange chicken, fried rice, 3 egg rolls, and some crab Rangoon at 6pm. The order took 55 minutes and once we opened the food we realized they had messed up the order and gave us food we are 99% sure was under a heat lamp all day. Instead of tso and orange they gave us 2 orange and white rice, the chicken was chewy and disgusting, the egg rolls were partially cold/chewy/extremely hard, and the crab Rangoon was God awful with soft/chewy exterior and what tasted like cold walmart crab salad inside. This was a God awful experience for my tastebuds. Judging from the other reviews this place recently went down hill hard and I strongly advise against coming here. Jade Garden is a much better experience all around but sadly they were closed and we had to suffer through this food . If I could give 0 stars I would.
