Ordered the filet mignon and scallops and was very disappointed in quality of meat. Very tough. Asked another at the table to sample and he agreed it was very tough for a filet. It seemed more like a sirloin. After mentioning it to management, they rudely insisted it was a filet. I dropped issue and the bill was paid. If you are looking for any wine selection, it's not here.

First time there and LOVED it. Everything was so tasty, esp the soup/ salad before the main course..we will be returning very soon!!

21 of us snowbirds had a great night out. 11 at one grill and 10 right next at a second grill. Good choice of food. The chef was entertaining and a sense of humor. Prices on average for the area in Fla. Everyone wants to go back. Reservations a must to be sure. Lots of parking. It’s right along Rt 41. In Venice Fla.

Found a coupon- dinner for 2- $30. Thought we'd give it a try. We weren't sure what to expect for that price. Coupon was for chicken/shrimp or steak. Menu prices were good so went for chicken/ shrimp combo for a small upcharge. Soup was delish. Salad was plain but fresh with excellent dressing. A bit a entertainment from the chef while he prepared our food on the hibachi. Had Sapporo and hot Sake to complete the meal. Good value. Good food. Good time.

We have gone to Shogun for years, as my husband's parents have lived in Venice for 20+ years. This place has spoiled us for other Hibachi restaraunts! I haven't had anything that I have not enjoyed. I have gotten the filet, shrimp, and chicken, all of which are delicious. In-laws have tried the lobster tail and scallops (but this isn't their usual), which they said was delicious as well. The service is terrific, and the chef (Steve) is the one we always request because he is phenomenal!
