Lucky Pelican - Sarasota County

I had panco crusted haddock over fresh vegetables,it was delicious.

My boyfriend and I met at the Lucky Pelican 5 years ago this year! It sure is lucky! We had a beautiful table outside and had a perfect meal and have been back several times! Would highly recommend The Lucky Pelican for your next outing!

Good food. Overcrowded. Not prepared for the crowd, ran out of 4 meals by the time we were ready to order. Slow kitchen that evening. Christian, our server, was doing all he could. He served us another round of drinks on the house, which we didn't want... Would have preferred a discount, or the bread (asked 3x) and water (3x) to be delivered on the 1st ask.

Food and services were very good. The turnoff was in the kitchen. The male staff all wore beards with no hair nets. They were also dressed in sweat pants and tee shirts. Most were wearing ear buds apparently listening to music while they worked. The food preparation area appeared dirty and the cooks slovenly. Even though the food was good, there is much room for hygienic improvement in the kitchen.

My favorite seafood place. Fresh food, good service and not overly expensive like their competition.
