The Library Kitchen+ - Sapphire

We were lucky to have a place for dinner on the same day. We sat in the high chair area, at the back. In the middle between the bar and the kitchen was much more lively. The popcorn was surprisingly delicious. The salad was pretty good. My veggie lentil stew like was very tasty. But my Hubby orders the grouper and Yucca rider (lifts fish and chips? and that was brilliant, good enough to return only for it. We also had dessert, the bread pudding from croissants and chocolate, it was good, but not $18 good. Coffee was strong and smooth. Very good experience overall.

Thinking about trying The Library? Go no further this restaurant is excellent in so many ways. When you walk in you are greeted with outgoing fun people. Then whether you are seated at a table, bar, or the bar top facing the kitchen you are greeted by your server, the chef, or the manager all of which are upbeat smart restaurant leaders. Now, onto the food. Yum Yum Yum every time I go there the food is absolutely delicious. Never have I had a bad meal. They use top notch ingredients and the chef knows exactly what he is doing. They have a full bar that you may sit at if you choose. The bartenders are always fun and outgoing. The interior of this restaurant is also fun to look at. Lots of neat pictures all over the place. It has a very comfortable feel inside and I am sure you?ll enjoy it. There are parking places right in front of the restaurant and should that be full there is a lot across the street to park at. I highly recommend The Library Kitchen and Bar. Go give it a try!

I wish I could translate into words our amazing experience at the Library Kitchen&Bar. Prior to our trip I had read many wonderful reviews about this restaurant, so I booked our dinner weeks in advance and we were looking forward to our dining experience. We were travelling from Orlando to Sapphire (just for one night) and trusted the GPS ETA. Well, driving on the curvy mountain roads was no joke and we realized that we were going to be late. I called the restaurant and was able to move the reservation to 7:30 pm, the last opportunity. By 7 pm, we were exhausted and thought we were never going to make it. I called one more time and said we were still driving and would be 15 minutes late. We finally got there?tired and not looking our best as planned. The staff was wonderful and received us with so much care and attention. The restaurant is beautiful, fresh, tastefully decorated with contemporary art and interesting books. And the food!!! The food was absolutely amazing. Totally lived to our expectations and effort to get there. Chef Johannes gave us personalized attention and we could feel his love, attention to details and pride to offer the best culinary experience to each client. I could go on and on describing each amazing dish we savored. All delicious, refined and creative. Thank you Chef Johannes and all your kind staff that made our dinning experience one of the best we had all over the world.

Almost perfect! What a great find! This restaurant is operated by a world-class cook and the food shows it. The food was excellently prepared and each guest was unique and showed the artistry of the boss. His partner is a financier and artist whose interesting art decorates the walls. The restaurant has an interesting back story that is worth researching. The service was excellent. We came when they opened, and the cook was out to get herbs for today's meal. The hostess welcomed us and accompanied us on our table. Our server, Marina was personal and very efficient. The ambience was interesting and pleasant. The rating would be 5 stars except a quirk. This is a high-end restaurant dinner for two without alchol and before the Gratity was $165.35. A fair price for the quality of food and services we receive. It is annoying that a restaurant of this caliber would charge a convenience fee of $3.78 for using a credit card. At the price of this restaurant, the fee is quite pettie. We look forward to our next visit.

This place is phenomenal! 5 star dining experience to be certain. Everything from the ambiance, to the wonderful wait staff, to the owners chefs so heavily invested in their meal menu prep. If you didn't go to the Library, you didn't see one of the best parts of Sapphire, NC!
