A Casa do Porco - São Paulo

Didn’t have a reservation (you can reserve 4 months in advance but they run out so fast) but we decided to go on a Monday lunchtime and we got a table pretty easily. Foods were immaculate! The highlight for me was the crispy pork with guava paste. No wonder it’s the best restaurant in SP

Amazing restaurant! Had the tasting menu which was delicious. Everything was so tasty. The service was super friendly and accommodating. Nice drinks with cachaca. Had a table outside and it was pretty cozy too and did not have to wait after getting in line as I did not have a reservation. I recommend to go early to get in line. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the world and a must to eat in Sao Paulo.

They have a wonderful way of creating dishes from all over Latin America which was super interesting and delicious. The service was also top-notch, with our server providing detailed explanations of each dish and offering wine pairings that perfectly complemented our meal. One of the things that impressed us most was how easy it was to get a table for lunch. Despite the restaurant's popularity, we were seated promptly upon arrival even without a reservation. Overall, A Casa do Porco exceeded our expectations in every way. The food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional, and we left feeling satisfied and impressed. If you're a foodie visiting Sao Paulo, this restaurant is a must-visit.

Very well rated and it delivers on what you would expect. We had the latin inspired tasting menu and it was great. Very imaginative dishes. Who would have thought that a pig ear cevice could be a thing, let alone delicious. The service was great as well, giving us explanations about each of the dishes. They also spoke English. Well worth coming.

I attended the restaurant with a group of 6. We ordered the tasting menu with matching drinks. Honestly I was overall disappointed and unable to find one overly positive thing to say. From the moment we arrived, menus were chucked on the table in front of us without much of a greeting at all before the server walked off. There was a seemingly lack of organisation amongst the staff as they seemed to scramble to bring each dish out. We politely asked if there was anyone that could provide information on each dish in English when they came out we were told that the manager would be happy to do this. The managers attitude from the moment he had to come and speak in English was that of complete disregard, he was obviously annoyed by the fact he had to do it. Honestly would have rather they just said sorry we can’t, it would have been better than the lacklustre service that the duty manager showed us. Back to the food, I was disappointed to be honest, it just seemed to lack taste and was a bit too pretentious. As we sat there looking around we felt like we had made a mistake by choosing the tasting menu as many items that people were ordering around us from the a la cart menu looked considerably better. For a meal that cost over $3000 BRL we left the place feeling a bit confused how this restaurant could be considered the 12th best in the world? Do yourself a favour and skip out on this one when in SP.
