Unfortunately, they closed their doors in Mumbai around 2012. However, I recently discovered that they have reopened in Goa, and I was delighted to see that the familiar Irani hotel-style tables and the delicious food were still the same. The mutton thali is still priced at 150 Rs. I highly recommend a visit to this place.
This restaurant is located next to Dr. Narendra Mulgaonkar's clinic, near Devashri Garden. A major drawback is that there is no parking available for this restaurant. When I visited with my family, we had to drive around a bit to find parking. It is recommended to try the Goan Thali here instead of ordering individual dishes. The food quality is good and the prices are reasonable.
The sukha fish bhaji, fried fish, and sol kadhi at this restaurant were amazing. The food speaks for itself, but the service was also excellent. The atmosphere and service make you feel like you're dining in a Goan home. I enjoyed my experience so much that I visited Anantashram three times during my four days in Goa. The restaurant is open from 12:00-15:00 and 19:00-22:00, and closed on Mondays.
The fish thali was well worth the money and was served piping hot. I'm definitely headed back for more,
This restaurant is located besides Dr. Narendra Mulgaonkar clinic, close to Devashri Garden. Big negative is that, There is no parking for this restaurant and I faced this problem when I had gone there with my family and had to roam a bit to find parking there. It is preferred to have goan Thali here instead of ordering any dishes. Quality of food and prices are good.
