Pastipan - Santiago de Surco

While we found this bakery/pastry shop and restaurant in the Surco district of Lima, we often find it for our bread and dessert supply. Quality is pretty good and prices are very reasonable. Large variety of bread and pastries. We found all products fresh, not this usual factory bakery, supermarket stuff so often found in the northern hemisphere.... Some of the desserts were a little too sweet. The place is very popular and is crowded over lunchtime and in the evening between 17:00 and 21:00. Undoubtedly a good sign is its traditional local patronage that makes it a successful place.

The best place to get a freshly baked bread in Lima, maybe one of best I've ever had. And if you go to lunch, the pasta is a great option.

If you want to taste a delicious and big sandwich visit Pastipan. Lomito Ahumado is done with a slice of ham onions and a little chili. You can't miss a cup of coffee.

Fresh sandwichs and good coffee, nice to share a work breakfast or the tea time, nice atmosphere too. The service could be better, I´ll go back.
