Giant New York Pizza - Santee

We need to lose this place. Seems different owners have changed. This has always been our place for pizza in Santee. They constantly confuse our order and they are not professional to possess and fix the problem. Many years go here, but enough is enough. Time to try another place.

In September we have great pizza. Quality and delicious. Since then we have received the same Margarita pizza and the quality has decreased significantly. Instead of full tomato slices and fresh basil we got small pieces and dried on basil. I thought it was a single time, but our latest order was the same. In addition, they have almost $3 for an extra topping, which was not on the pizza. Sad to say, it looks like we have to find a new pizza place.

Our meal was eh at best.  We had a giant pepperoni pizza that was good but the crusts are significantly thinner than they used to be even just a few years ago.  We tried several of their hot sandwiches this time as well.  The philly cheesesteak, the meatball and the Italian sausage.  The sandwiches were all just an overall disappoinment. The menu in the online system didn 't list the ingredients in each sandwich which was frustrating.  It makes ordering difficult for people with food sensitivities.  We just went ahead and added that info to the notes section but it wasn 't observed so in the end we had to wait for a new sandwich to be made.  The Italian sausage was incredibly bland.  No seasonings in it at all.  The marinara was lacking in flavor too.  The amount of time to make the food was ridiculously long, especially when you add in the second trip we had to make to pick up a corrected sandwich.  All in all it took 2 hours from the time we ordered until we had all the correct food at our house and we live less than a mile away.  I 'm not going to say we 'll never order from them again but it definitely won 't be any time soon and only for pizza going forward.

This is my go to place for a Giant pizza King experience! The owner and his family have been in business for over 20 years. I did 5 give it 5...since I just picked up a pizza and charged me $48... for 28inch. Normally costs $26.00 but to my astonishment a requested quarter of the pizza for Supreme cost me an additional $20.00. That doesn't seem right at all. Im a bit disappointed. I wont do that again.
