I tried to tell her which side we wanted with our mealtimes (the menu says pommes or chili,) but I think she thought we wanted to have additional pages so that we doubled. I should have just stuck with the pommes, not with the chili. it tasted like it was chili heated up and sprinkled with fresh sprinkles and cheese. the fries were polluted by themselves, needed more salt, but tasted fine with fry sauce. I have a blt, I expected the tomato fresher, not pale pink, and I hoped for thick slices of speck, but was also disappointed there. the other order was a chicken cordon bleu sandwich. we had expected that the huh was filled with the sink and cheese, but it was layered. the huh didn't seem to be seasoned at all, not even salt and pepper. Maybe we came when the staff had a free day, but between the mixed order and the high quality food, we will not come back.
It was Café food, it was different the way you ordered. I liked it, it's a cute set up. I had a club sandwich (that was okay), my wife had fish and chips(she said it was good) it was decently priced. The food came fast,, that is what I liked I was hangry, out hiking, rock hounding) Would I go back? Yes, I would.
I want to do 4 stars but from my personal experience, 3 is the best I can give. There's a nice small mom and pop feel to this place. It's got a cute 50's vibe with the seats and the paintings all over the walls. The service was lacking and maybe even somewhat confusing. There are little phones at each booth that you use to order but the room is so small you can hear yourself and the person standing at the register in the middle of the room and it makes it very difficult to even understand them and concentrate on what you're saying yourself. I ordered a chicken cordon Bleu and somehow they heard a blue cheese burger. So I didn't even get what I ordered. They don't make it very clear that drinks are self serve and the guy behind the counter was pretty rude when we asked about it. They really need to make it more clear how their system works and not be so rude when someone asks for them to explain how we get our drinks and other condiments. Also, maybe it was just where we were sitting, but for most of the meal all we could smell were wet dirty dishes. It almost smelled like a mop bucket with chemicals in it.We'll probably be back to give them another chance because the food wasn't horrible, but they need to fix a lot of issues.
This place was DIRTY! The bathrooms ?. I wanted to leave but my friend was dying to eat at a diner. The people don't even cone to your table for anything but to drop off food. You have to use this phone to order get your own drinks and condiments from a dirty station. My friend ended with food poisoning after eating their shrimp. The only reason they got two stars was because my Navajo taco was good, but who can't warm canned chili.
This is one of my favorite dinners of all time, I don't live in Santaquin but whenever work takes me there I stop in and order the Country Fried Chicken Steak with Eggs and Hash browns. The owner is the chef there and he's a good guy, and the lady at the register is awesome also. I suppose my only gripe would be that the seats are too low, or the tables too high.
