I had pizza that was delicious and my partner had served Locro, a kind of stew with corn, pigs, etc. mainly in winter. Outside there is a pool (not available for use), but could be used for private parties. The place used to make a disco in the 70s but it was closed by a stick. Now it is very popular with a younger crowd. The menu is standard and service very relaxed and good. Free Wi-Fi is available, debit cards are now accepted.
Incredible food and service. Beverages are quite expensive, the food is not very recommended because of the size of the portions that are BIG so share. You cannot be in the area and not eat here, IS A MUST (if you are not on a very tight budget, of course)
This small, family-run restaurant never fails, it is quite small, so reservations are a must. We were there on Friday night at the beginning of the Oktoberfest, but we could get a table. We had mushroom bruschetta and rib eye steak, delicious cooked, it melted in the mouth. Sergio and his team keep standards high. Extensive wine list and beautiful home made desserts. Portions are large, so sharing is recommended if you want to taste their desserts. The wine list is extensively available with local wines, although we adhere to traditional Malbec brands. Bill for two, parts main course with an above-average wine was about US 50. Cheap to British standards, but expensive to Argentina. La Vaquita sells gourmet withdrawal food and has a good delicacies counter. Value the price, caution, it is cash just so bring a lot of dough. Very recommended.
I visited this little gem again and standards haven't dropped. It's now high season and lots of tourists around. We had flan casero for desert and it was one of the best ever. All food is cooked from scratch and fresh. The taste is excellent. It's obvious that the owner loves to cook and it shows. Opens from Wednesday to Sunday. As it was Summer we sat under the trees and enjoyed the greenery around. On the road to Yacanto, it could be easily missed but please do look out for it and you'll have a wonderful culinary experience in the middle of the countryside.
Alongside the road to Yacanto about 10 minute drive from the centre of Santa Rosa, in Santa Monica is this lovely place where everything is hand made. There is also a delicatessen shop attached to the restaurant well stock with gourmet foods and local olive oils and more. Their empanadas are superb. In fact from the home made bread to the pastas to the selective wine list there was nothing I could find wrong. I understand the restaurant is only open at weekends. Many well heeled locals arrive to use their take away service. We sat outside underneath lovely trees and watched a variety of birds chirping away in the warm Spring like air. We will certainly visit again
