Vfw Post 4833 - Santa Rosa County

Did not feel welcome. I’m a life member and was considering moving my affiliation to this post after moving to Santa Rosa from Escambia where I belong to another post. I got off work early and figured I’d stop in and change affiliations. The bartender explained that I needed my card in order to get served and I mentioned that I was considering joining. She told me I could download the app and prove my membership and turned away. I didn’t have my card and was sitting in the post downloading the app. Before I could get it opened another post member walks across the room and tells me that I have to be a member in order to be served. My previous experiences with VFWs a post member greeted me and seemed to be happyabout getting a new prospective member. They have the wrong priorities. Think I’ll drive to the post in Gulf Breeze.

So far, I must say the folks that took time to talk and visit with me were very pleasant. The waitress, Patty. was helpful with answering questions and was informative, and all the while being very busy serving patrons.I'm hoping this place will offer other fun things such as dancing, live music, games, and activities for those of us that are retired and ready for life happiness and social events. Looking forward to finding and establishing lasting friendships.

Everyone there was quite friendly. Nice place, plenty of room for meetings, and enough room to play billiards or have a beverage. Of course members only, or be invited. Don't forget to sign the register! :
