El Capitan - Santa Pola

Food very average for the money, looks a bit run down, no lock, handle or light in the toilet, not impressed.

Excellent service and delicious paella. Best in Santa Pola. Bading in the pool before eating.

We visited on Sunday afternoon as we'd heard there was a singer on. Bar was busy, lovely outside seating and a really good male singer, covered all sorts, 60's,70's 80's etc. English, Spanish and Belgian. Good selection of drinks, very tasty sangria! We had a really nice few hours here.

One of our favourites on the gran playa, their slightly more expensive menu del dia than others in Santa Pola, is worth every euro. The arroz negra is superb!

During our stay in Santa Pola we went for a walk along Grand Playa. Although El Capitan was only open for clients with reservations the lovely young waiter made an exception for us. We were seated at a table with a excellent view and decided to have the menu of the day. I can only say excellent from start to finish. Great portions, fresh food and lovely service. So pleasantly surprised that a beachside restaurant who have such a high standard.
