Lanea - Santa Monica

The customer service was impressive; the server managed to stay attentive to our needs even with a busy crowd. My only small complaint is that I wish they used a bit more seasoning, but at least we had two sauce options to enhance the flavors. Overall, it was a lovely experience!

They charge $20 for the cocktails that didn't even have dash of alcohol in it.

This is a late, but very well deserved review. We had our wedding welcome reception at Lanea (and had our after wedding Brunch at their sister restaurant Cult) and it was exactly what we were looking for tacos and margs, in a nice but somewhat casual venue, right in the heart of Santa Monica so that all 150 of our guests could walk there from our hotels (The Proper and the Courtyard).Kim who runs their events was wonderful as was Peter who is one of the owners and ran both of our events. It was perfect, even when I messed up and ordered 100 tacos but what I meant was I wanted tacos for 100 people (300 tacos). No problem the team was on it and fixed it quickly and with no complaints. It was awesome.Highly recommend Lanea and Cult for good drinks, good food, and even better service. You were a key part of our wedding weekend and we were so happy that there were no hiccups.Bravo team!

Little gem in the heart of Santa Monica with very affordable food and happy hour specials. I didn’t try any of the cocktails regrettably but it looks like an amazing selection. The service was super fast (on a slow overcast Sunday) and friendly. The shrimp quesadilla was fresh, four stars because it was a bit bland with only shrimp and cheese inside. All tacos and quesadillas are automatically served on gluten free corn tortillas but you can request a flour tortilla.
