Our room was on the third floor and there is no elevator and ready to climb the stairs. The staff is very nice and helpful. The pretty man who speaks English has helped us a lot. The only retreat is because it is in the center of the city and near the streets you hear some noises from the street I.e cars and music. The food was good. I am
By far the worst dinner in years. Overpriced food in general, a tasetelsen fish with l Veggies. It should be a special evening for us, it became a BIG disappointment. The manager should simply not disturb having a restaurant, stick to the chic, upscale hotel. So many better places to eat in Santa Marta, worth 100 more than this.
A welcome stop during a walk, beautiful hotel, unexpected jewel of a fund in an old street
I booked for 20 ppl in advance as I was going there with all my family on a very special occasion/celebration. Everything was supposed to be perfect but they couldn’t perform worst: 1. We requested 4 baby seats in advance and they never brought them 2. They tried to charge me for renting one area of the restaurant even when the place was empty and they never warn me 3. The food was supposed to come at 7.30pm and only came around 10pm (the restaurant was empty!!! 4. Some of the dishes came cold even if the food was good. Alonso (the waiter was very nice and tried to make our night more special.
The Boutique Hotel Don Pepe is one of the best in Santa Marta. What most people don't know is that it has a fantastic restaurant that serves guests and non-guests of the hotel. While staying at the hotel we met the chef and decided to abandon dinner at another highly recommended restaurant in favor of trying the one in the hotel. It was the best meal we had eclipising Le Bodeguilla del Rodadero by a mile and just edging out Ouzo (although almost a dead heat). The menu is concise and varied, the wait staff was attentive and friendly. While we were there the mayor of Santa Marta had a private event one day and then returned for a private dinner the next! That is saying a lot initself. The reason there are not many reviews on Trip Advisor is that the restaurant was not listed separate from the hotel. Those interested in fine dining should definitely make it to the restaurant.
