Updated pictures of the menu and the skewer meal with shrimp and fish. Highly recommended. The seafood tastes fresh and the servings are generous.
I enjoyed my experience..the young man that took my order was very helpful and made things clear about my order. He also suggested things that would go well with my meal. Very clean restaurant, it felt warm and welcome.I had the Mojarra Frita, rice and beans. Ceviche fish/crab mix.You have to try it...awesome! Service was excellent. Establishment was well maintained and clean. Food was great and delicious. It was also nice and hot when it was brought over to our table. Employees were very friendly and helpful.
I will definitely have to come back to this restaurant. I found it during a quick search for burritos on my way home from the 605 freeway. I ordered a simple Chicken Burrito without cheese to go. It seemed like there was a father and son working together at the restaurant. The father took my order and communicated it to his son in the kitchen. I chose not to use a 10% coupon on purpose for the sake of this review. It was 3:14pm and the only other customers were a couple dining in. While I waited for my burrito, I admired the artwork on the walls and the father talked to me about his pieces, some of which were purchased and some were gifts. The couple finished their meal, thanked the staff, and asked about their mother before leaving, showing that this is a local family business that has been around for a while. When my burrito was ready, it was placed in a brown bag along with chips, salsa, and an extra salsa for the burrito. The burrito itself was substantial and the chicken was tender. The ratio of rice, beans, and protein was perfect. I devoured the entire burrito, even though it was more than I would normally eat. The name of the restaurant suggests they specialize in fish, but I ordered chicken. I was a bit skeptical about the fish burrito based on other reviews, but I will give it a try next time. I would like to come back and try their plated dishes as well, like the couple was eating. The restaurant is conveniently located next to one of my favorite tackle stores, and the photos of the fish and seafood dishes look enticing. The price for the burrito and a soda was $16.29, which may seem high, but I am willing to pay that for quality food and to support a family-owned business.
