Venus Spirits Tasting Room - Santa Cruz

We had a very good dinner at Venus Spirits Westside. Food was excellent and service was very good. Loved the cocktails

The wait staff were great, there was an issue w/ the salad not being up to par as was in the past. I spoke w/ my waiter said all the goodies on the lettuce were skimpy, it was resolved immediately w/ grace!

Food was mediocre and we got cold burger and fries which wouldn't have been great warm).

We sampled their tasting menu, and Bo was incredibly helpful. He provided a lot of information and was very accommodating to our preferences, even switching one of the tastings from gin to rum for us. Their spirits were outstanding. I would definitely love to return here!

I absolutely loved this place! I was on the hunt for a laid-back location to kick off the welcome drinks a couple of nights before my wedding in Santa Cruz, and a friend recommended this spot. I reached out via email a few weeks ahead to let them know that a large group would be arriving around 5 pm. They were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The two bartenders were fantastic! The tasting room had just the right amount of space for our large party, while still allowing room for other guests. It struck the perfect balance of being upscale without feeling pretentious. It was the ideal place to enjoy a few cocktails and socialize with friends and family!
