Everest Burgers - Santa Clarita

Just had breakfast. Limited choice of breakfast combinations. All combo choices were with 3 eggs. Too much food for me. So although generous, not inexpensive. Over medium eggs came out over easy.

I have been going to Everest for years. They have a varied menu and reasonable prices. Something for everyone. I enjoy their pastrami sandwiches and they have the BEST breakfast burritos around. The salsa verde is so tasty with a little heat.

I tried the chili cheese fries and fried zucchini at this restaurant, but I wouldn't order them again or recommend them. The fried zucchini was mostly batter with very thin slices of zucchini, and it was also very salty. I only ate a couple of pieces before throwing the rest away. The chili cheese fries tasted like they were made with leftover meat, and the shoestring fries got soggy quickly. The ranch dressing was the only good part of the meal.

This was my first visit to this restaurant and I was able to customize my burger exactly how I wanted it. It was absolutely perfect! I also ordered fries and zucchini fries, which were both incredibly delicious. The menu offers a wide variety of options and the drive-thru convenience was what initially attracted me to try this place. I am already looking forward to bringing my three boys here next time!

Had to revise my review due to the service I received the last few times I visited. Food and portions are still great. You get the bang for the buck compared to other local eateries in the area. Atmosphere is your typical mom and pop diner feels, maybe a bit more upscale. Televisions around the room and cushy booths and tables. Now comes my biggest con. Tipping culture. Everest never had an option to tip on their machines and when they did introduce it, you had the option to decline with the push of a button. That in itself was awkward but not too bad. That has changed. The cashier at the drive thru the last few times has verbally asked me to tip making it even more awkward. I've feelings every time and as soon as I say so customer service makes a 360. Never received a receipt, didn't acknowledge when my transaction was done, and was handed my food and window closed without a thank you or stating if that was all of my food. Everest don't give in to tipping. Do better. Pay your employees better.
