El Paseo - Santa Barbara

I couldn't find any information on their website or outside the restaurant stating that a reservation was required. The only information available online was their hours, which mention that they close at 8:00 PM on Sunday. However, when we arrived, the woman who greeted us informed us that we needed a reservation and that they would soon be closing, even though it was only 1:00 PM. It seemed quite odd. Given this experience, I don't think I'll be returning, and based on their reviews, it doesn't seem like they serve authentic Mexican food anyway. Save your time and look elsewhere.

Beautiful location in a historic building. Food was amazing and service was friendly. Try the local handmade tortillas. Only the complaint is in the summer months, it can be quite hot and stuffy, fans would be helpful.

The service was excellent, and I felt inclined to leave a tip, especially since there were only about eight tables occupied on a Saturday night. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I regretted choosing to eat here, and the ambiance, which used to be vibrant and lively, has faded over time. I would recommend skipping this restaurant unless you're in dire need of a meal and want to avoid waiting at another place in the city.

Taco Tuesday is my favorite day of the week! Get there before 6 and they always have a table for you. How can anyone go wrong with 15 dollar all u can eat tacos! The servers could be a bit nicer and less robotic, and if they added a desert table like they do brunch, I would give 5 stars all they way. The homemade tortillas are ?
