Santa Ana Cafe - Santa Ana Pueblo

Three of us had lunch at the Santa Ana Café, and we really enjoyed it overall. The location and ambience are outstanding. The food was very good. One friend ordered two chili Rellenos and a cup of green chili stew, both of which she loved. The other friend and I both opted for the Santa Fe omelette; she added mushrooms, and I added both mushrooms and spinach. We were caught up in conversation and didn’t notice that the server didn’t confirm our orders. As a result, she received my omelette with spinach, and I got hers without it. We were already digging in before we realized the mix-up. Our waiter, Will, was excellent! The young man who delivered our plates was friendly and helpful, but such mistakes shouldn't happen, which is why I’m giving a four-star rating. For dessert, we tried the green chili apple pie. It was tasty, but I told Will that if I hadn’t known there was green chili in it, I wouldn't have been able to tell. There was only the slightest hint of green chili; any less would have meant there was none at all. So, to me, it just tasted like regular apple pie. That said, it was delicious, though a bit small considering it cost $10.

I always enjoy having brunch with my family here! The food and service are consistently outstanding.

This is a charming spot for any meal of the day, whether you choose to dine indoors or on the spacious covered and screened patio. The menu offers a nice variety of options, and the service is attentive. As residents of nearby Placitas, we consider this one of the best dining experiences in the Placitas, Bernalillo, and Rio Rancho region. After your meal, you can enjoy a stroll along the Rio Grande River, especially beautiful in the fall when the cottonwood trees showcase stunning colors.

The food was exceptional. We had the salmon and burrito. Both were cooked well and very flavorful. We had Pupusas for appetizers. We never had them before but we will again. We ate on the patio which was quiet and peaceful. We forget how nice this place is. We will be back sooner rather than later.

We were so lucky to have chosen the Santa Ana Cafe for a dinner before we attended the rodeo at the Tamaya Stables. It was fantastic because they were serving a buffet that night and what a delicious and delightful time! We loved it! The food was wonderful and the variety on the buffet was amazing!
