We got there on Mother's Day with my 93 year old Mom and Rooney's (which I loved) was sold to a brewery! They were closed for renovations. Try getting a Mother's Day reservation for 7 people on Mother's Day. Didn't happen. VERY DISAPPOINTED at Open Table
We made reservations , drove for 90 minutes and they were closed for construction. Either Rooney's or Open Table screwed up by not posting they were closed for construction. (There was a piece of paper posted on the front door, nice! What good is technology if you do not use it. Spent our $200 else where.
Been here a lot. This time for lunch. Super quiet during the day. Great service!
We've always liked Rooneys until we experienced the new menu. It was very limited and the things we liked (sandwiches, chili, etc. were not available. The brunch menu looked good but is only for Sunday. Too much money and no options for lesser selections.
Rooney's has always been a go to restaurant for a great dinner or lunch, but for whatever reason, the last two visits have been unpleasant. I am not sure if the chef has changed, or possibly the kitchen staff, but both of my fiance's entrees came out cold and the food didn't at all taste the same (in a negative way). There was also a birthday party happening, which is totally understandable, but there were kids running around near our table the entire time. If there was a birthday party happening in the small area that we were seated in, you'd think they would mark that area off and seat us somewhere that was considerably quieter (the restaurant was nearly empty, so there were plenty of seats).
