La Michoacana Ice Cream - Santa Ana

I have visited this restaurant about 4-5 times and each time has been okay. The vanilla shaved ice was good. The maize esquite with noodles was decent but nothing special. My daughter had a milkshake with a strange aftertaste, possibly from being frozen for too long. The chocolate covered marshmallow pop was delicious. The restaurant itself is charming, but it always smells strongly of cleaning products, which can be off-putting when trying to enjoy a meal. During my last visit, I saw a cashier with a dog in the food prep area which was not hygienic, although the dog was cute. Honestly, I think I will stick to buying corn from the local vendors instead.

The ice cream at this place was delicious, but the spoon they provided was flimsy and weak, making it difficult to get a good scoop. I was relieved to find a more sturdy and strong spoon at home with better plastic material.

The restaurant indicated that it is open until 9pm, but the lady closed it at 7:45pm because it takes an hour for the store to complete closing procedures. When I told her that they should update the hours to reflect the actual operating hours, she mentioned that they will eventually do so. My party and I drove 45 minutes to get there, and we are not from Los Angeles.

The ambiance is good the whole place is beautiful but every time i've tried to go in the morning at 11 they're closed and it says they open at 10 so i waste my time going there but it's the closest to my job

Amazing ice cream! I just wish they teach their employees English because I'm a little rusty with my Spanish despite being full Mexican.
