Having had the privilege of shooting weddings at La Baronia in Catalonia, we can confidently say that it's a dream destination for any couple seeking an unforgettable wedding experience. Nestled amidst the breathtaking catalan hills exudes charm, elegance, and romance at every turn. La Baronia is an absolutely stunning venue and one I would absolutely recommend for a wedding should you be considering. My wife and I are from NYC and were looking at venues abroad and stumbled upon a video of La Baronia posted by Costa and Mason (the BEST wedding planners please give a look if planning your wedding in Spain). The natural beauty of the building and the surrounding landscape is truly breathtaking. I love there are separate areas to the venue, for a cocktail hour, dinner, and after party, so that you don 't grow tired of being in the same area for an extended period of time. The staff on the wedding day could not have done a better job attending to our and our guests every need. There are several items that should be mentioned that are strikes against La Baronia, which I will so that everyone can make the most informed decision possible. I went back and forth as to deducting a star from the rating for these so called mishaps but ultimately, our wedding was such a dream that anything less than a 5 star rating would be unjust. The following would be my constructive criticism of La Baronia.  The biggest thing in my opinion is clarity of costs.  You will receive a brochure quoting an amount per person for private use of the facility and it will go through what is included.  At first glance, it may seem that most everything is included, but that is absolutely not the case.  I will give a couple of examples.   Standard tableware, chairs that are included are absolutely hideous. There 's an added fee to have a tablecloth, silverware, chairs, etc. that anyone would deem acceptable. They say flowers are included but this is extremely misleading.  Even the venue admitted that using their flowers would look ridiculous and that hiring a florist separately is necessary   Their open bar is not very clear.  We spent quite a bit extra in picking a beverage package we thought would be acceptable for the wedding. An open bar in the traditional sense is not included in the advertised price.  Lighting is said to be included, but similar to flowers it was required to hire their lighting vendor, at considerable additional cost.  There are other items similar to the above, but really to summarize the points above, I think you really need to budget at least double what will initially be quoted, to avoid any surprises and sticker shock once everything with the venue is decided. The final thing I will mention from my experience is related to the food.  Despite a few items that particularly stood out, overall I found the food to be good, not great.  Another item, that at the end of the day was not that big a deal, was they got our menu completely wrong.  We went to the venue 4 months prior to do a food tasting.  We picked our cocktail hour hors d 'oeuvres and dinner.  They got our starter wrong (we asked for sea bass and they provided salmon tartar).  Additionally, we eliminated all things shrimp and also the calamari from the passed cocktail hour.  The first two items passed to me were shrimp and calamari.    We had about 11 or so passed apps, many of which I did not see being passed around.  I asked my guests afterward about a few standouts from the tasting we did, and nobody recalled seeing the few items I mentioned.  This is pretty disappointing considering the time and effort we took to carefully pick out the menu.  During the wedding we did not mention the cocktail hour mishap but they were very apologetic for the mistake regarding the starter.  It would have been a nice gesture to reimburse us one of the many extra charges incurred, but a verbal apology was all we received. I do want to reiterate one more time that despite all these minor items, I would not hesitate to recommend La Baronia to others.  Even despite some little hiccups, you 're just about guaranteed to have an unforgettable experience.

The baron is a perfect place to meet yours. the estate located in a high landscape overlooking the mountain. so the stone walls and the details of the Catalan farmhouse are perfectly cared for during your experience to sit on an exceptional site. is close to the barcelone and is ideal for banquets, family meetings and any kind of celebration. highly recommended. has a swimming pool, chillout area and lounges.
