The Great White Grill - SANIBEL

What an AMAZING pizza! The crust was perfectly crispy and delightful to eat. We loved every bite! The vegetables were fresh and cooked just right! I wish we lived in northern Indiana, as we’d make this our go-to pizza spot every week. Having just returned from Florida, I can say this pizza is still fantastic!

I was a bit hesitant to try this place due to mixed reviews, but I’m so glad we did. We started our meal with a basket of onion rings that resembled onion straws, and we absolutely loved them! They reminded us of a new take on the crispy toppings you sprinkle on green bean casseroles. We devoured every single piece, even the tiniest scraps—AMAZING! I ordered the cheesesteak, which was hot, juicy, and served on incredibly fresh bread. Perfect! My husband had the Pittsburgh-style sandwich, complete with fries and coleslaw, piled high with meat. He enjoyed it immensely and left no crumbs behind. My aunt ordered the pepperoni pizza and really liked it. I tried a small slice, and while it wasn’t my favorite, I appreciated that it was hot, fresh, and had a crispy edge. The sauce was delicious, though the cheese did taste a bit bland; that’s my only complaint. The service was excellent, and our overall experience was wonderful. I can’t wait to return next time I’m in town!

We visited during the slow season in September when the place wasn't very busy. We tried the amazing Sanibel pizza, and it was fantastic! They have a nice selection of beers on tap, so we enjoyed some of our favorites as well. The prices were reasonable, and the staff was both friendly and efficient. It's a great spot to eat, with a cozy indoor bar and a small dining area.

If you want a good pizza, this is a place you need to check on the island. The beer was not as cold as I thought it was, but the pizza was made more than for it... and being so high with temptations outside, a less than frosty beer is still acceptable when the pizza is so good. Kruste had a crunchy base, fresh ingredients melted to perfection. Jesus. I have no complaints about this place. The prices are fair, because it is a tourist trap on the island, but this place offers a really delicious pizza at a fair price. If you are a Steelers fan, you will really like this place!

For $35 we got a Sanibel salad and a medium pepperoni pizza. The salad had 5 very small pieces of chicken and a half filled container. The pizza was burned on the bottom it tasted like cardboard. Overall, a horrible meal The good reviews for the Great White Grill pizza were way off the mark. Never again.
