I got the lunch special, I’m not crazy about rib tips myself but they were great. What I really enjoyed was the pulled pork, it was sooooooo good. I did the medium level sauce and it had a nice amount of zest, I will likely do hot next time. For sure will be getting some more of that pulled pork!

I had the catfish and steak fries. It's the best catfish I have ever had in my life. Tender, cornmealy, seasoned right. With some delicious hot sauce.

In Springfield for whatever reason. You must treat urself too Clay's Popeye's Bbq. What a burst of flavor. Meat was so tender, sauce spectacular. The customer service was exceptional. Price just right.

Very sweet people. Mrs Clay serves food with the tenderness of a mother's love. Been eating there for 25 years or more. Never had a bad meal or experience. These ribs will make you wake-up dreaming about them. Everyone should be buying LOCAL. And there's not a better place to start! Every year, on my Birthday, I do a special favor for myself, and eat a full slab of pure Heaven. CLAY'S POPEYE'S BBQ should be a chain in everyone's hometown. It was in Springfield for more than 40 years. Way before that Chicken chain got here. Do yourself a favor, check it out. You won't be sorry!
