The place wasn't much to look at, it was late, very late, the staff look like they had already been through some heavy shifts. Yet, they welcomed us but the most joyous genuine attitudes and cooked up one of the best meals we've had off a long flight. This is the place that season travelers talk about finding, a homie old-fashioned but amazingly delicious hideaway! Go and don't be put off by the disarray.
Well well where do I start The cook did a excellent job of preparing our food but the server he brought us out our grits eggs and toast and we didn't get our meat until about 5 to 7 minutes later so our grits was cold. The 1st Cup of coffee he gave us was cold so we had to get another cup
Somehow always understaffed but they really make the best of it and the food is pretty much the same, good eats, decent service super late night hero's.
Staff here is amazing they all work very hard at what they do and sometimes they don't get the credit for even showing up to work. They did a private party for a retirement party. It was pretty cool. They also post on the door if they they are doing only to-go's or dine-in only. All around amazing staff and management. Keep up the great work everyone.
Upon hearing this, she discarded the food and tossed the plate into the sink rather forcefully. They made us a new sandwich, but we were still worried because the spatulas and knife had already been contaminated. I then saw the cook take some raw speck, place it on the grill, and then grab the spatula again. Although she did eventually change her gloves after touching everything, it seemed ineffective because gloves should be discarded immediately after handling raw meat. It was concerning to see her put on new gloves and then touch kitchen utensils. My partner is a restaurant manager and has taken many food safety courses, which is why we noticed these issues.
