The food is excellent, with a variety of vegetarian options available. The grilled chicken received high praise from everyone in our group. Definitely worth a visit!
I visited this location on Mother's Day because I'm a fan of their Charlotte branch! Everything was just as delicious as the food in Charlotte, and my mother really enjoyed the small plates! It wasn't busy at all on Mother's Day morning, but I hope this just means that the people in Sandy Springs haven't discovered this gem yet. I'm sure it will grow in popularity over the next few months. We had mimosas to drink and a variety of dishes. My parents dug in so quickly that we didn’t get any pictures, so here’s a shot of our empty plates! Lol!
Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted and shown to our table in the indoor dining area. While there is a lovely tiered outdoor patio, I opted for indoors to avoid the noise from Roswell Rd during our meal. The service throughout our visit was excellent. Kid Cashew is known for its Mediterranean cuisine, and the menu offers a wide variety of options, including meat, vegan, and vegetarian dishes. I decided on the All Natural Half Rotisserie Chicken, brined for 48 hours and served with cilantro yogurt tzatziki. I also added a side of creamy polenta. R ordered the Wild Caught Salmon with tri-color quinoa and cucumber salsa. Oh my goodness! I found the food absolutely fantastic—everything was seasoned, cooked, and presented perfectly. It felt as though the chef understood my preference for bold flavors. The chicken was brined and grilled to perfection, moist inside with a wonderfully spiced skin. Dipping the chicken in both the cilantro yogurt and the tzatziki was a delight, and I loved them both. I tried polenta for the first time, and it was like enjoying creamy yet not mushy cheesy grits, topped with chopped green onions. It was incredibly delicious! R enjoyed his meal, although maybe not as much as I enjoyed mine; he did say it was delicious as well. Both of our meals were quite filling. Afterward, R ordered baklava. I gave him a skeptical look since he knows I'm not a fan of baklava due to its usual excessive sweetness. However, this version wasn't drenched in honey and was actually quite mild in sweetness, so I ended up enjoying half of it. I'm definitely looking forward to returning. They currently offer Pick 2 lunch specials that I’d like to try, which include menu items slightly different from dinner. The restaurant's website mentions that it’s dog-friendly, presumably allowing dogs on the outdoor patio, and they provide free Wi-Fi. The decor in the indoor dining area is both interesting and eclectic, creating a comfy, positive vibe. There’s also a small outdoor bocce ball court available for customers who enjoy a bit of friendly competition.
I'm ridiculous about eating out, but I can't help, but don't be nuts about cashew! we sat fast. the menu clearly shows what can be made gluten-free or vegan. the small plates are well cut and more than replaceable and the waiting staff is beautiful. each dish was delicious, but the wood fired beet, meatball au pots and creamy white beans were nothing short of incredible. the breakfast in tiffany’s was refreshing and the cheesecake had exactly the right amount of sweet. I can't wait for a visit.
