La Fountain Mexincan - Sandy

This visit occurred in mid-May, and I can't help but wonder if there’s a new chef or owner, because the standard of Mexican food has been completely redefined here—and not in a good way. This was a grotesque interpretation of what should be Mexican food, and it was truly an assault on my taste buds. Proceed with caution if you decide to go. I understand that some people enjoy it, but I went based on numerous positive reviews, and I have no idea what they were talking about. This is NOT a good restaurant—far from it! Also, I found it quite strange that they used a hotel pen for signing the check. How odd.

The food was good, and the place was clean. The atmosphere was pleasant, but the hours posted on the door and on Google were incorrect. The kitchen was already closing when we arrived, even though we thought it would be open for at least another hour. When we asked if we should consider going elsewhere, the staff was kind enough to allow us to stay, along with two other large groups that had arrived before us. However, it soon became clear that we probably should have looked for another option, as they wouldn't be able to prepare takeout orders due to being out of chicken. Overall, I might give it another shot when they're actually open to see if it lives up to expectations, but for now, I wasn't overly impressed. At least the food was good!

The experience was just average. I wouldn’t recommend the margarita; mine was overly sweet and lacked any noticeable alcohol. We're in Utah, so it’s probably best to skip the margarita altogether. The food was fine, but nothing special. The server was a bit aloof and not very engaging. Overall, it was an okay visit. I didn't come away feeling disappointed, but I also can't say I'm eager to return.

Always love La Fountain! The food is tasty and still more affordable than many restaurants. Prices haven’t gone up quite as much here and I love them for that! The service is great and they serve you fairly quickly. They can accommodate large groups as well and although it can get fairly busy on weekends and evenings, it’s never a super long wait.

Food was delicious and the waiters are very friendly and attentive i definately recomend they have a big variety of plates and servings and alcoholic beverages
