Great friendly bar. Always worth a visit when I'm in town!

Under new management, lots of beers unavailable due to delivery issues over Christmas which is totally understandable. The vibe is a little off because the pub seems very old and relaxing but there’s classic clubland music playing, all are acceptable. The reason for 1 star was that close to closing, six people arrived and started antagonising the bar man, there was a shouting match and the bar man won. But they got served and it changed the tone completely, quite aggressive and intimidating. I hope this is not a sign of things to come for this lovely little pub, it’s worth a try! Dog friendly and when the beers in stock it’s got a good selection.
