The seafood was incredibly fresh salmon, seafood soup, pollock, and each course was thoughtfully presented. My server kindly charged my phone for me... I did a quick search and saw great reviews on another platform so hence my choice. The chef has earned several awards and it's definitely a regional star. Highly recommend and beautiful views of the water.
I had the fish soup which was amazing!!! The fennel sauce was the most delicious! It was filled with fish, shrimp and mussels! Just the best !! The main dish was a recommendation by my wonderful waitress, Sarah. The pumpkin ravioli. It didn't disappoint at all with asparagus hidden below The butter sauce was just perfect The raviolis were thin and you could see the pumpkin inside. Just so yummy!!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant and you will not leave hungry !!! No dessert way too full My last comment is they were truly remarkable to an American. They sat me with no reservation. They also worked with me explaining the menu in detail. Five stars for sure
We had an incredibly memorable meal at this restaurant a few years back on a trip to Sandefjord. It was on our bucket list to return on our next visit. We were seated at a second floor table with stunning views of the fjord and the sunset and were feasting on the freshest seafood prepared to perfection. Brosme, Grillet Fangst, Seared Salmon, Uer with sides and sauces carefully curated with subtle but unexpected flavors and ingredients. The food was just as we remembered, if not better! And the wine list is sublime. The service is understated and polite with expert knowledge of the menu. I have come to expect nothing less from this fine establishment. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
This restaurant serves delicious, incredibly fresh and delicate food. I've had a practice job in the kitchen for 2 days, and I can guarantee you that everything is made with passion and love. You'll not regret eating there!
I 'm drooling just thinking about the mussles......and fish soup.... and getting all nostalgic by imagining the dining experience right by the pier, sunshine in my face and all that sloppy jazz that I 'll save you from reading right now. This is a special restaurant in the sense that it 's seasonal- open from the end of April until the end of August and during the Christmas party season. Owned by Geir Skeie- a remarkable Norwegian chef known for winning the Bocuse d 'Or in 2009 (i.e. the world championships in cooking), it is an establishment that makes a Sandefjording proud. While it 's quite stylish interior-wise it does not come across as pretentious and it is of utter importance that you should not be afraid of only popping by for a beverage or two on a sunny day.
