Pho 79 In Virg - Sandbridge

I had high hopes for this food because I was feeling drained from a conference I was attending. Unfortunately it was very underwhelming and not the warm comforting food I was hoping for.

I got my first pho here recently. It was very good. The portions are huge! The small order was more than I could eat. The servers were all very nice and friendly.

We ordered through GrubHub and were delighted with the high quality of the food. The vegetarian pho came with very fresh toppings (chilies, limes, etc). Delicious!

We traveled to Virginia Beach for a family gathering and looked for a place for a late lunch. We came across Pho 79 and glad we did. We got there around 2:00 and the restaurant was almost empty. As we wanted something quick and not too filling, we thought a bowl of Pho would meet our needs. We ordered, yet the Pho took at least 20 minutes to be served. I assume the Pho was already made, so we were not sure why the delay as they were not busy and seemed to have an adequate amount of staff (although we did notice a Help Wanted sign in the window when we left). The Pho was tasty and the amount of beef in my bowl was amazing. At our local Pho restaurant in North Carolina, we never get the amount of beef we got at Pho 79. We will definitely try it again when in town...looking forward to trying other items on their menu.

On our continuing quest for great Vietnamese, we stopped in here. The place is clean and staff is friendly. We both ordered pho, chicken and beef along with spring rolls. The pho broths were excellent, perfectly made as were the spring rolls. This place is a winner!
