New to the area so though we'd give it a try. Food was alright, bit pricey but where isn't at the moment. Packed the fish at the moment of the bag underneath all the chips? Rang up and ordered, repeated my order 3 times on the phone and still got it wrong, will be seeing where else is available next time. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10

Just had a bag of chip(s), really nice, but the portions size is ridiculous really for £2.50! It was a standard chips but the portion would only just fill a kids cone! I don't think I will be back if I'm hungry! Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Top quality English chippy. Easily the best in town!

Well I ordered lightly battered fish chips peas and curry sauce. On the phone the staff said we are shutting but only 1912 and they shut at 1930!!! The food came and as normal I always tip. Well the fish wasn't lightly battered I ended up taking it all off the fish!!! The chips were in fact very nice. The peas stone cold as was the curry sauce. I rang up to ask why and the staff replied they would give me free sauces next time. Obviously they had turned there bains Marie off that's why they were cold!!! Poor service and definitely will not be returning. Shame as the guy who dropped them off was very pleasant. Maybe he should be cooking and the staff drop it off! As they say you learn shame as I like to support local businesses. The 1 star is for the chips and the pleasant delivery driver.
