Drive thru after driving a friend back home from surgery.
The customer service has gotten a lot better and the food is a lot fresher.
I had a few errands to run and hadn’t had a thing to eat all morning. I stopped by McDonald’s and ate lunch in the parking lot. It’s always the same story: I get a hankering, I “satisfy” it, I regret it, I promise myself I won’t return, a month later I repeat the cycle. “You go back, Jack, do it again…”.This time I took photos to remind myself that 1) the Filet-O-Fish sandwich just isn’t as good as I remember it and it’s stupidly expensive for its size and ingredients $6.19); 2) Why did I spend $6.89 on a burger that isn’t even charbroiled? 3) $4.69 is just downright excessive for a medium order of fries. This is boring corporate food. America would go here because it was fast and inexpensive; now it’s fast and insanely overpriced. On the upside, they do have a sign on the building that claims they are hiring at $15/hour, so at least they’re besting the minimum wage. And the two young people who served me were polite and friendly.Comparing to other fast food e.g. their two biggest burger chain competitors or even a cajun chicken chain) and dine-in restaurants i.e. a Chinese buffet on Ina), and in my estimate, McDonalds _really_ exaggerates their prices. I’ve made up my mind: it’s time to break the cycle; no more golden arches for me.
Interior is dirty, employees busy talking not helping customers, condiments not stocked. I know it's minimum wage but try harder.
