Silvanos Pizza & Bar

I wanted a good Italian evening of food and drink but all I got was good food. To celebrate my birthday I wanted to pop a bottle of bubbly with my friends. Unfortunately, even though they had a Prosecco on the menu they didn't in...the cooler. Was very disappointed, but hey, the food was good.

I've visit this place with family, colleagues and Friends and never been disappointed. One of my favorites is the three cheese asparagus and seems that the overall quality of the ingredients is good to great. This is one of my only choices in Mty...and will keep coming back. Brick oven, good wine choices and fair prices. I've only visited the Plaza restaurant, hope that other locations keep the quality and service.

Not worth it! This is a copy of the original restaurant Silvano de Paola's located not far from this one. If you come here you'll pay too much for a poor-made Italian food, etc. The only good thing about this restaurant is that it is...located in a nice Plaza with a small view of Calzada del Valle as well as that it is right next to other restaurants. This plaza is considered a get-together place for an after office or a place to have lunch or dinner. If I visit this Plaza I would rather go to another restaurant.

This was a very enjoyable break from our awesome Mexican meals. Good selection of Chianti Classico, very good risotto a i funghi (porcini), ok prosciutto (dryish jamon Serrano). Espresso was ok. Tiramisù ok. Service was good.

Surprise anniversary dinner, I have only a little Spanish. No problem the manager Jose, (i hope I have your name right), speaks far better English than my poor Spanish, he arranged seating for both inside and outside. A dedicated waiter, (again with credible English)...took the differing orders from my guests, and recommended a very passable red wine. The attention and service to my table was bettered only by one other restaurant in Monterrey, (at that restaurant the waiter is a personal friend). Everyone was delighted with the quality of the food. I am not easily impressed having eaten in Northern Italy many times but I have to say that the presentation, quality and taste of my fish pasta was excellent. I sincerely hope this is the standard and not a one off. Only a mild critic the champagne should have been left in an ice bucket, however it did not last long and spent very little time in the bottle. Altogether my best experience in Mexico to date. Thank you Jose, your staff and not least the Kitchen, I'll be back
