La Oficina - SAN PATRICIO

The only reason that I gave this resteraunt one star is because the hamburger that my wife had was excellent. We went there to meet some friends because the entertainment was one o them. Shortly after we arrived D the owner said not asked us to sit down so that he can see who was sitting where. We were not sure as there was a dozen or so coming and we were discussing who was sitting with whom. A lady at our table ordered water and whew she asked she was given nothing short of a tough lashing for asking if the water came out of a bottle or the tap. One bill was given to each table and when we were trying to decider who owed what the owner said hurry up, good service I think not. When we finally fget inured out the bill and payed the owner said that the tip was very small, audacit our what. Someone should tell the owner that tips are earned not automatic

Aaron is a great host. The food is exceptional. Great stop after the local Market. We had the special. The berry bacon quesadilla was amazing.

The one poor waitress had at least 20 people to look after but she was constantly helping the young gringo behind the bar! Surely he could manage the drinks as she had more than enough to do! Burgers were good, drinks not good. Maybe they need a new bar tender. We left only a small tip due to poor service and the bar tender had the audacity to yell out of the restaurant when we were on the street that we left only a 6% tip. Isn't the tip supposed to be for service? Sure hope he didn't get one peso of it.

We dined here on two Sundays in November, the second time with two friends. The proprietor obligingly had the CFL Western playoffs on TV. Attractive interior, and shaded patio in front. The smoked ribs comida was excellent both times. Very good selection of Mexican beers, and a very tasty margarita. Aaron was a gracious host, and service was first rate. Friendly efficient staff.

Kind of a cult place, they have their clientele. Food was OK, a bit noisy but this is Mexico. Put off was when we (three couples) wanted to order on separate checks and informed they have a POLICY, NO! Seeking tranquility, simiplicity, peace and a common prectice around the world is to accomodate the customer. Will not go back nor recommend.
