I would recommend to avoid because after spending 2 hours and 800 pesos, the owner told...his waiter to ask us to leave because we were not eating enough and this is not an internet cafe. There was only one other table occupied in the place. How rude is that? I left my half finished rum and we left. Waiter was apologetic. Our only explanation is that we both were on our laptops and the owner didn't like that--he is old and obviously a curmudgeon who does not understand the modern world. So be prepared to order half the menu if you want to stay more than 2 hours.. So we went from there to the Rosewood rooftop and are enjoying that very much as I writ this. Thank you for kicking us out!
I rarely write a review if a restaurant is bad. However, this place may be a health problem. I must admit that we made a terrible mistake not looking at the Tripadvisor reviews before selecting this place for dinner. The previous 6 reviews going back...to Nov. 2019 are very accurate. All we can hope for is that the local Health Dept scans these reviews before checking a restaurant for health violations. We received our drinks but waited over 90 minutes for our order to arrive — it never did. In the meantime, we watched the staff run around, some taking orders that also did not arrive while we were there and other staff just walking around not doing anything. The floor is filthy as is the bar counter where they place new dishes to serve guests and also place dirty dishes after cleaning a table. One customer slipped on the floor alongside the bar where dirty dishes were placed (maybe something was dripping on the floor). In addition, one of the staff (possibly the owner) picked up cutlery off the floor where a waiter also slipped and spilled all the knifes, spoons, and forks. The “possible” owner or manager placed the cutlery back into the clean trays, so they could be used in setting the tables. We also noticed this older man (again, maybe the owner) opening the desert cooler and taking fruit off of the various deserts and eating them in full view of everyone. We just could not sit there any longer watching how this place was operating. It needs a complete cleaning along with a reevaluation of how it runs — the staff need training — and, maybe the kitchen along with the cooks need an assessment as to how to operate efficiently. We paid for our drinks and left. Again, we recommend that you, DO NOT EAT HERE. That’s until they seriously clean the place. There are so many wonderful restaurants in San Miguel from which to choose — but please read the Tripadvisor reviews, first.
¡100% recomendado!
