Wursthall - San Mateo

This is an excellent place to relax and enjoy some delicious food. Although I'm not usually a fan of sausages, they prepare them exceptionally well with fantastic toppings. Their buns are top-notch. The real highlight, however, was the mac and cheese from the appetizer menu. It was incredibly creamy and tasty, prepared in a unique way that you won't find elsewhere. It’s definitely worth a visit to try it out!

I visited Wursthall with a couple of friends last week, and we had a fantastic experience. The sausages are incredibly delicious, and the variety of flavors is impressive. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, so you'll easily find a place to sit. My only concern is that the menu is rather limited, with not many appetizer options available. It would be great if they could expand the menu a bit. Other than that, everything was wonderful. I would definitely recommend it as a great spot to enjoy some food and drinks with friends or family.

I've visited this restaurant several times and genuinely love the food, even though the prices have been going up. However, I continue to experience disappointing service. I always try to be polite and leave a good tip, but I've noticed that a few of the servers lack friendliness. It's not just a one-time occurrence or an issue with a single server; there's a noticeable absence of smiles and warmth. Ordering online via the QR code is convenient, but I don't appreciate having to finalize everything, including the tip, when I place my order.

It was honestly the best restaurant I’ve been to in the Bay Area. Service was quick, place was clean, and everything about the food was done right. The bratwurst was so juicy and broke off like butter, the smashburger was cooked perfectly. I’ve also never had potatoes done this well. Fills up quite quick around noon.

4.5 stars but rounding up. Almost no wait on a weekend for lunch with no reservations for a party of 5. Loved being able to order food by scanning the QR code on the table. Be sure to order a free cup of water online with your order or you’ll end up parched from thirst. Ordered the Pastrami Swisswurst and the chickpea and pickled carrots. Sausage was delicious and the sauerkraut really brings me back to my time spent in Germany. The chickpea and pickled carrots contained almost no carrots! Which was a bit disappointing. Probably shouldn’t advertise an ingredient as a menu item when there’s almost none inside. It was still tasty but I was really looking for a vegetable component to my meal but it was all starch.
