Amicis Pizzaria - San Mateo

If you enjoy New York-style pizzas with a thin crust, this is the spot for you. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality makes it well worth the extra cost. The pastas, salads, and desserts are good, but not particularly outstanding. Located in downtown San Mateo, finding street parking can be challenging, so I recommend using the public parking garages instead. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. Be sure to try the pizzas; they are the highlight of the menu!

Amici's Pizza never fails to impress! They consistently offer the best selection of pizzas. The crust is among my favorites. I enjoyed dining outdoors with my pets, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive—they even brought out water bowls for my cats! The recommendations they provided were excellent. I can't wait to go back!

I ordered a kale and chicken pizza, and it was fantastic! It had a nice kick to it and was loaded with toppings, with the addition of interesting pine nuts. It was a unique pizza that really resonated with me! The crust wasn’t burnt, but there were a few burnt crumbs, so it seems like they could benefit from cleaning their ovens more often. As someone who grew up on the East Coast, I wholeheartedly approve of this place.

Audrey was very friendly and efficient as both a hostess and server. I ordered olive oil and vinegar with sourdough bread along with the Michi combo pizza. Both were very delicious and the bread was hot and fresh made... So be careful you might burn your fingers with that lol... The pizza was very flavorful and of course old world brick oven cooked... I was very excited about that fact... And the price was reasonable especially for the high quality food that you get. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone who gets the chance.

I looooove the pizza here an the service is so nice they check in with u and give u space when needed and make u feel super welcome kinda pricey but well worth it. If I lived closer that would be the only pizza I'd go for broke for
