Would recommend buying an umbrella in the shop on days like these for the sun. Plenty of shady spots and hydration points though, so remained a memorable experience!

We visited the Huntington on a Sunday and had so much fun! We ended up spending about 6 hours there between the gardens, galleries, and lunch. The gardens are beautiful we started with the Chinese and Japanese gardens and got boba there which was a nice little surprise treat in a great spot to relax. We also checked out the rose and herb gardens and the tropical gardens. We only made it to two of the galleries the library and the American art gallery. They had very knowledgeable staff and really cool stuff to see. We also got lunch at the 1919 cafe highly recommend the shrimp aguachile. Good food and lots of options (but definitely a little pricey). It was impossible to decide what to get from their very thoughtfully stocked gift shop! Really enjoyed our visit to Huntington and highly recommend it.
Absolutely love this place. Well organized, exquisitely maintained, and there's always something being added, repaired, or improved. The staff are always friendly and patient when I interact with them and it's never too busy to feel like you're unwelcome.Perfect for family walks, taking your grandparents to get some exercise, afternoon tea, a picnic, or just relaxing on the grass to get some sun. The food can be pricey but the Chinese garden restaurant has some great options. The BBQ jackfruit vegan sandwich and the noodles are highly recommended.Make sure to make an appointment in advance if you want to visit during high-traffic periods.
This place is amazing! I took my 16 year old daughter and 12 year old son and we all loved it. We were here for 5 hours and could have stayed for many more. Such a huge variety of plants. Very well maintained. We loved the gardens and the museums! Would highly recommend adding this to your list of places to go near LA!!!
