Smoothie Warriors - San Marcos

I should have written this review a few months ago. this place is one of my favorite establishments. Jason is friendly and so is his staff. i love the wheatgrass and ginger shots. every once in awhile i'll get a smoothie too. support a san marcos classic.

I have been a regular at this restaurant for 10 years, and every time I look up, I see the same guy making my smoothie. The ladies who have filled in for him have never disappointed either. The Nutty Nectar is my go-to, followed by the big beast for a dessertier option. The environment always smells fresh and the quality is consistent. The prices are a bit expensive, but being just off campus, it's expected. This place never disappoints, and I'm glad places like this still exist.

I 've had hip pain for about six years, so you can probably understand my dismay getting an X ray at 8:00 a.m. at 23 years old. I skipped breakfast, planning on getting coffee and a donut between the appointment and work on campus at Texas State. But it 's a new year, and caffeine is one of my 2023 Out 's, so I headed to Smoothie Warriors to get an energizing alternative.I hopped out of the car and went straight to jiggle and yank the front door handle before realizing I 'd arrived before their 9:00 a.m. opening time. I felt embarrassed at my Annoying Customer Faux Pas but decided to wait a few minutes instead of running away and shamefully doubling down. Thank goodness I did! Right on the hour, Jason opened the door and welcomed me in. As a first time customer, he gave me plenty of time and space to peruse the menu 's enticing options. He also demonstrated expertise when answering my questions about the ingredients such as turbinado, which I learned is a brown sugar. He was so friendly that I thought to myself, Man, it must be something in that juice! And honestly, it might be! I opted for one of their green smoothies, the cold cleanser, and took my first sip amid some cordial banter with Jason. I had to interrupt our conversation to say, D*mn that 's good! Jason seemed pleased, but not surprised when he responded simply, I know right? My few minutes in Smoothie Warriors this morning assured that I 'll be back again soon, just like the handful of other regulars who dropped in and out to pickup their online orders with equally contagious, chipper demeanors.And the deal was sealed when we literally jinxed each other saying, See you next time! on my way out. Iconic!
