Wynston's Ice Cream Co. - San Marcos

Great spot. Great ice cream. Great customer service. Awesome staff. Everything about the place speaks class. This place is located right by the Cal State San Marcos Campus. It's so close to the campus it actually feels like your on campus. What's nice about this place too is it's right down the way from Umami, so it makes a nice compliment after sushi.

After reading all of the amazing reviews, I was really hoping for a great experience at this restaurant. However, the ice cream was average and they didn't have any cones. I ordered the strawberry shortcake and it tasted like a cheap brand of ice cream mixed with something odd. My friend ordered the chocolate with sea salt, but they gave him the wrong flavor. To top it off, our spoons broke and having a cone would have been a nice touch. I probably won't be returning, as I would rather make the extra trip to Salt and Straw in Del Mar.

The homemade ice cream here is very tasty and creamy, with a wide variety of flavors to choose from. If you're not interested in ice cream, there are also a couple of good dining options available. Additionally, if you're lucky, you may even meet the owner during your visit.

Wow, I am speechless. I don't usually eat ice cream, but I had a craving for it the past two days. I heard about Winston's and decided to give it a try, and wow, I was not disappointed. I tried the avocado ice cream and it was the best I have ever had - smooth, creamy, and healthy-tasting. I couldn't even taste the avocado too much, which was a pleasant surprise. I also tried the classic chocolate peanut butter flavor, which was also delicious. However, the avocado ice cream was truly amazing and has now become my favorite. Thank you to Winston's for creating such a delicious and unique ice cream brand.

Delicious ice cream! I had the espresso and slept Schnickers....OMG I was really impressed. not to mention if they are a first time customer and register for text alerts that they receive 15% off....what is not to love? will surely come back when I am in the opposite. the customer service was stellar, the young lady worked very helpful.
