Imperial Garden Chinese - San Marcos

I was hesitant to go into looks somehow run down, even the inside looks dirty and smashed. No. The host was fine so far, not a friend, but had worse. I ordered beef and broccoli lunch special comes with roasted rice and egg roll or soup. Be honest, little hesitant, but let's see how food tastes. Fried rice No taste beef and broccoli taste was ok. This place was a great disappointment. When I first came in, it was a little busy because I think they combined the imperial garden with thai? So I expected thai of course good things because a friend told me. So we put ourselves and we ordered the waitress was little off as they haven't learned the new menu yet, so it's good. I understand. But the disappointment was the food. What I had ordered was called the Yum Mama, and it was far from yummy. Basically, it looks like they took the rams of a brand called MAMA and placed on my plate and decorated with shrimp and salad. Oh, and by chance, I told you that the shrimps were underused? This isn't even the best part that was best that she made me $9.49 for a dish that was less than $3 dollars. I would recommend going to another place. But the Thai tea was good, but I still don't think it would be worth it.

Disgusting!!! Best part of our meal was our can of soda! It smells nasty and tastes nasty. McDonald's would've give us a way better meal for 36 dollars. Don't go there that food got us sick. The sweet and sour sauce was a weird color and had a horrible taste i almost vomited everything. We had to throw everything away! This people should not be in the restaurant business they can really get someone very sick! Also they're stealing our hard working money.

So my family and I come in and get greeted with a scowl from the host for taking a look at a menu that was laying open on the counter, because I had never been here before. We get seated and we wait around 20 minutes for someone to notice we where there. We get our drinks and my ice had food and lettuce in it so I had to send it back. I personally do not like having to send thing back. Then we go to the buffet and the food is cold so we informed them very politely. We get more ugly looks and the host proceeds to go to the buffet table and touch the bottoms of each container to see if they are hot staring at us the whole time. Then she tell other customers what she was doing and why and they proceed to talk down about my family and I and scowl at us while we are trying to enjoy a lunch together as a family. I do feel bad about leaving this but the way my family and I where treated when we used kindness and our best manners, was highly uncalled for. We will not be returning due to the way we where treated.

Staff is friendly and although the food is good, it tastes Chinese...... if you are a lover of Chinese food, you will know what I mean... but overall I had a nice experience here.
