Hopdoddy Burger - San Marcos

We had an amazing experience with the burger, fries, and beer combo. Everyone loved their Classic and Goodnight burgers, which came on the softest buns. The fries were excellent, though a bit salty; however, the shareable bowl was more than enough for the three of us. I was a little surprised by the limited selection of draft beers, but there was still a good variety, and I particularly enjoyed the 512 Pecan Porter. There's plenty of parking nearby, and it's conveniently close to other entertainment and coffee spots. We'll definitely be back when traveling along I-35!

My brother highly recommended this restaurant, so we decided to visit it for some birthday celebrations. I ordered the Hot Nashville Chicken, and it was very flavorful. My husband opted for the Magic Shrooms; he enjoyed the ingredients but felt that the patty was a bit dry. My brother had the Reuben, which was overly dressed and made it hard to taste anything else. My mom went for a classic burger bowl, and we found it amusing that they didn’t cut the patty into strips, as the presentation was quite odd. The fries were decent, and they were definitely enough to share among the group.

I had the Elbandito veggie burger, which features a black bean and corn patty topped with onion, arugula, basil pesto, guacamole, chipotle aioli, and goat cheese, served alongside parmesan truffle fries. My companion enjoyed the Llano Poblano beef patty, layered with lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, chipotle aioli, pepper jack cheese, and poblano peppers, also served with the delicious parmesan truffle fries. The food was excellent—served hot and full of flavor, and it was ready for us when we arrived to pick it up. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and I highly recommend giving it a try. They also serve wine, beer, mixed drinks, and shakes. Definitely worth a visit to see how you like it!

Always a sure bet, great food and drinks. My magic shroom burger was well made, a good balance of flavors. The truffle fries were cooked superbly, not too greasy, well seasoned. The paloma was delicious and refreshing. So good!

My wife and I first came in the evening and the place was a mess. The tables and floor were not clean. The young lady at the register was picking her face and hair which turned out stomachs so we immediately left the establishment. We were craving for gourmet burgers so we gave it a second chance. Mandy turned our experience upside down. She was professional and listened to our concern with the first experience. The burgers came out perfect and juicy. The drinks fulfilled our thirst. The cleanliness of the establishment looked much better.
