They have a light dusting of a coating I can't quite identify, reminiscent of authentic Parmesan cheese. The chili on top is delicious with just the right amount of spicy kick—not too overwhelming. Next, we have the **Chopped BBQ Sandwich ($8)**: Where do I even begin? First off, the “meat.” I pulled a piece from the sandwich to taste it solo, and it was incredible. I took another piece to really examine it, and let me tell you, it definitely tasted like real meat—not some bland tofu or soy substitute. With that cleared up, I dove into the sandwich like the true foodie I am! As I write this, I'm still reminiscing about the sweet BBQ sauce, creamy coleslaw, and the fresh bun—it’s enough to make me want to drive back for more! There are a couple (maybe three) Hungarian dishes on the menu. I've never tried Hungarian cuisine before, so I plan to return and give one of those a shot, especially since one of the owners is Hungarian—it has to be the real deal! This place is family-owned and managed, and everyone I encountered was friendly and welcoming. It’s only a few months old, but they keep everything very clean. I watched them while I was eating, and they were constantly cleaning in between cooking and serving. Plus, everything they use is compostable: the takeout containers, the plates, even the cups. Everything is made to order, so be prepared to wait a little. It’s somewhat tricky to find, but just head towards Nostimo Cafe, park on the street, and look for the entrance at the back. You won’t regret it!
I've been to this place several times, and it consistently impresses! The owners are warm and welcoming. Be sure to follow them on social media for the latest hours as they're still getting established. I could happily have their southern fried fish at every meal! As a vegan, I'm thrilled to have found this new spot in San Antonio where choices can be scarce. Whether you're vegan or not, you should definitely eat here and support these wonderful folks!
I want to start by saying that my recent first visit to this restaurant was absolutely delightful. The food was exceptional. Having been a vegetarian for three years, I've tried places like Buzzmill and Earth Burger, which are fine, but this family truly infuses their dishes with love. It's, without a doubt, the most delicious vegan-friendly food I've ever experienced. During my visit, I spoke with the owner, who mentioned that they are new to the restaurant scene. While they may still have a few things to refine, I believe they'll improve over time. What matters most is that they are good people making great food, and that's definitely enough to bring me back. Thank you!

I will begin by saying that my first visit here recently was absolutely wonderful. The food was really on the point. I've been a vegetarian for three years and I've been to the other places like Bozzmill and Earth Burger and they're okay. However, one can say that this family puts really much love in their dishes. It is by far the most delicious vegan friendly food I ever had. I talked to the owner and she said they were new in the restaurant scene and I know they might have a few kinks to work. They will learn with time, but they are good people who make good food and that was enough for me to come back. Thank you.
