Oki Kohi Espresso - San Luis Obispo

I have greatly missed Dim Sum, and Oki Kohi has managed to capture the taste of the steamed pork buns I used to love in San Francisco's Chinatown. The vegan alternative uses Beyond Meat and Tofu, and out of the three vegan options I tried, it was my favorite. The Sweet Taro was decent, with a similar texture to the pork bun but not as flavorful. The vegan egg rolls lacked a chicken substitute, making them taste like regular egg rolls with cabbage and grease. The iced tea was excellent, and I plan on trying more dim sum at this charming coffee bar, conveniently located across from Oki Momo, which I have been a fan of for years.

Best espresso around, strong but smooth.Japanese curry tastes great and is filling.

I was so bummed to discover that Okimomo closed. Happily, Oki Kohi opened just across the parking lot. Some of the same menu items but not everything. I was able to get my fix of KFC wings. Also addition of new items like some dim sum coffee drinks.

I initially ordered a dirty chai tea because I thought this was just a coffee shop, but was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of delicious and affordable food options on their menu. I will likely make this my go-to spot for lunch or breakfast. The place smelled amazing and the service was quick and polite. They also have a selection of hard-to-find snacks for sale, which I almost bought all of but my drink was prepared too quickly.

The staff is very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is excellent, and the food is fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant.
