Jewel Of India - San Luis Obispo

The food was incredibly tasty and the female staff were friendly and attentive. I will definitely return to this restaurant. My sister also enjoys dining here.

This is some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had and I’ve lived all over the country!!! It’s so freaking delicious! Especially the Korma dishes and the tandoori chicken. So amazing!!! Whoever gave low stars must be talking about service (not that I’ve had a bad experience) cause the food is INCREDIBLE!!

Ordered Shrimp biryani and Vegetable biryani. The taste was very medicore. The shrimp biryani had vegetables in it, like really? Who puts vegetables in a shrimp biryani?and there were only 5 peices of shrimp, $20 for this? And $16 for a vegetable biryani in which rice was all mushy. Big NO.Will not recommend this restaurant.And if you are serving biryani you NEED TO PROVIDE SIDE OF RAITA, that is the norm for every restaurant serving biryani on this planet.

After a long drive from LAX, we were exhausted and very hungry. It was late when we reached Hollister, so we decided to find something to eat on the way since restaurants were closing soon. That's when we stumbled upon Jewels of India. The restaurant is located in a quiet and peaceful area. We ordered vegetarian food, which was surprisingly good compared to Indian vegetarian options in San Diego. However, we were taken aback when we were asked to pay a reservation fee because we didn't book a table in advance. When we offered to make a reservation online at that moment, we were still told we would have to pay extra. It seemed odd to us that we had to pay additional charges just because we didn't make a reservation beforehand.

Amazing Fresh food, friendly service, and very authentic. Me and my uncle come here all the time, I love the food and authenticity of the food, as an Indian I definitely recommend this restaurant if you want Indian food in this particular area!
