Ihop - San Luis Obispo

We came late... to choose from all places in SLO, Mom didn't want to disappoint breakfast for dinner ihop! From service to the lemon ricotta Crepes, it was a hit, does not matter what time of the day ~ Thank you!

I had two sunny side eggs, ash browns and pumpkin pancakes. Everything so fresh and tasty. What more can you ask for breakfast? Oh yes, great service too!

I had 2 eggs over easy and hash browns. Eggs were too runny—even for over easy—and the hash was a little underdone as well. Not a deal breaker, but not the best. Also, these items coffee tip was $13. Not outrageous, but how about a minimal breakfast under $10? Too much to ask for? I guess I’m still living in the nineties!

What can I say about the food, it was an IHOP, chain food menu, nothing special and nothing bad, always a staple when you want regular food. Mt wife and I went on a Monday morning for breakfast, I'm sure not their busiest time, but still busy enough to have half their parking lot full and when we entered there was only one server/cleaner/host. We had to wait behind another family to be seated first, and there was a family behind us. The first family waited about 15 minutes before they got a seat, we waited about 20 minutes, and the family behind waited about 30 minutes because of lack of staff and that was around 12 pm, late breakfast. I do give the guy credit for juggling all the tables so effectively by himself, he actually made it run in a timely manner as customers came and left. Not the traditional server, middle aged gentleman, definitely earned his tip. As we were leaving a second server had finally showed up. Anyways food was standard chain restaurant food, service was still good despite the lack of manpower and restaurant was easy to find, virtually right off the freeway.

Clean restaurant but the food took way to long to arrive at our table. We arrived way before the breakfast crowds and couldn't understand why it was taking so long. The waitress was pleasant and I don't blame her at all. With 3 cooks it should never take over 40 minutes to get eggs. The bacon look pencil thin. Food was just ok nothing great. Dennys is much better.
