Budget Cafe - San Luis Obispo

Fast and friendly service. Place was dated, but clean. The place was not too busy or dead/quiet, only the perfect amount of customers who felt it like a welcome local cafe. The menu is your American standard dining area with a selection of children's menus. All 5 meals of my family members were brought to our table surprisingly faster than we expected? and cost healthy and freshly not excessively salted. The prices of the menu were what you should expect above all with the current hyperinflation. You can think that The Budget Cafe was similar to a small town local Dennys before she was franchising.

Love this place, staff is friendly the food is great. The location is a little funky, but it adds to the experience.

What a wonderful little hometown café! Excellent service and food! I had the Ranch breakfast and my God the pancakes were so fluffy!! Great, good price for breakfast.

Now this is good food games with reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place. A sad note is their lack of care for the health risk of stacking plates with food. A little disturbing.

Sometimes the staff doesn't greet people who enter the building so it's confusing, do I seat myself or wait to be seated? if you seat yourself you end up sitting there not being acknowledged until you say something to someone...so this part could be worked on. Is it a seat yourself establishment or will we be greeted then seated? Other than that the food is quality. I love everything I've ever had here, it's so good. A top notch breakfast spot I believe they keep up with quality, when some other places have been dwindling since 2020 happened. Glad to have the Budget Cafe!
