First time at this place. It was great. The waitress was top notch and the food was amazing.
A cozy ambience, friendly staff. The waitress, María, made us feel comfortable and gave us good suggestions. Luis (Koldo in Basque) was very welcoming, he took the time to chat we us, shared some stories, and made a great suggestion for dinner. It results to be delicious meal. We had a rabo de buey with a garnach red wine from Catalunya, Spain calls Lineas; it turns out to be a great company for the plate.
This place is a wonderful dining experience. Order a traditional meal, or order family style, food arriving at the table to be shared just like at home! Delicious meals, seasoned to perfection, tender and juicy meats, tasty soups, breads and table wine all mean if you leave here hungry it's your own fault! I've visited a fair number of times with friends and family, and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. And the owner often checks on you personally to be sure everything is just right at your table.
If you're in downtown San Juan Bautista, this restaurant is a must-visit! The homemade cooking is absolutely delicious. The house wine, bread, soup, beans, salad, and lamb are presented alongside their signature duck dish. Everything may seem simple, but it truly feels like you're being welcomed into a local home with genuine hospitality. I ordered the roasted lamb, which was served with special spices. It was so large and tender that I had to eat it with my hands! To top it all off, we enjoyed some ice cream for dessert. This is a fantastic spot for families and friends to gather. I highly recommend it!
