El Espontaneo - San José del Cabo

Yesterday evening had a party of 8 there to use the promotion offered by them. we were treated like 2nd class citizen. confusing drinks and food orders, terrible service by waiting staff and management. because by a promotion they have betrayed us fraudulently. by saying that we are not qualified because 2 of my guests have shared a teller. malizial we divide our bills into two sets without lessons, so none of us would qualify for promotion. they got my drink order 3 times wrong (on a drink) and forgot to bring me a drink at all. for my guests, several are mistaken. chef juan is a total idiot, he used Fowl language on the table, which opened the door for me to speak like a seaman to him. they didn't offer a compromise. Instead, they decided to be embarrassed and overload me and my guests. 2000 pesos for an salad, sea bass and 3 drinks is a complete tear. it will never be!

Terriben choice for a restaurant. actually our only bad experience in san jose this whole week! the hotel, the property, the property and the pool area are amazing, but the restaurant was terrible. three of us sat on a table for four in one. outside the corner without lighting. so dark that they brought us a flashlight. we asked ourselves to be moved instead of moving us to another empty four upper side that they moved us to a table for six! within minutes there was a party of six that was turned away because there were no seats for them. water glasses remained empty until the half was completed by the meal, drinks (two margaritas and a martini). eating was good, but quite expensive the most expensive of the week and overall, not worth it! that's a no!

Recently visited Cabo for a week. Went into the town of San Jose del Cabo for Thursday night art walk. Had a surprisingly great meal at El Espontaneo. The food may sound a little simple on the menu, but when it comes to the table...you are in for a nice surprise. Extremely gourmet tasting, and beautifully presented. Apps: Ribeye Burrito (actually more like a very fancy and delicious egg roll ; Boudin Balls rival anything in New Orleans; Stacked Tomato Salad; Mexican Pizza was on the thinnest crust I 've ever seen and simply amazing! Next time, I will order appetizers for all of my courses...they were that good!

La locación es muy buena, el entorno es muy agradable, el servicio es un tanto invasivo ya que los meseros/capitán/gerente preguntaban cada vez que servían agua o vino, si podían servir más? El estar encima de la mesa, pedir permiso para meter o sacar platos, o preguntar a cada instante si todo esta bien, no hace un mejor servicio. El actuar de los meseros debería de ser más sutil. El precio del vino me pareció justo, pero el precio de la comida es un tanto elevado para las porciones y calidad que recibes. No tenían salsa picante para el sope de rib eye, y nos ofrecieron polvo de habanero o salsa sriracha, el shot de camarón cumple con lo que ofrece, los rollos de pato, estaban un poco pasado de radiccio, eso hacía que fueran un poco amargos y no se percibía el sabor del pato. No entendimos el concepto de la sopa de queso, ya que llegó un caldo lechoso, ligero que parece suero de leche, con algo que parecía trozos de queso, pero al final la regresamos, amablemente la retiraron de la cuenta. El New York con arroz frito llego en el término que lo ordenamos, tenía buen sabor pero al final lo agridulce puede cansar un poco, por último el brownie de triple chocolate bueno sin llegar a ser un wow. Nos ofrecieron el 15% de descuento en la cuenta por el inconveniente de la sopa, aún así creo que los precios no van de acuerdo a las porciones o a la manufactura de los alimentos, el menú es un tanto reducido y no hay alternativas veganas.El concepto dice tapas y raciones pero al final es un restaurant común, realmente esperábamos mucho más de este lugar.

Took a party of there last night to take advantage of a promotion they offered. We were treated like class citizens. Misplaced drink and food orders, terrible service from wait staff and management. Went there through a promotion which they deceitfully scammed us...on saying we didn't qualify for because of my guests shared a plate. Maliciously split our bills in sets of two without instruction so none of us would qualify for the promotion. They got my drink order wrong times (on one drink) and then forgot to bring me a drink at all. Several orders wrong for my guests. Chef Juan is a total jerk, he used fowl language at the table, which opened the door for me to talk like a sailor back to him. They offered no compromise. Instead they opted to embarrass, and overcharge me and my guests. pesos for a salad, sea bass dish and drinks is a complete rip off. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!
